Onity Unveils New Trillium™ Lock Series at HITEC 2015

Onity, a leading provider of electronic locks for more than 30 years, today announced the launch of its Trillium lock series. This new line, along with Onity’s DirectKey mobile-key solution for hotels, was unveiled today at The Hospitality Industry Technology Exposition & Conference (HITEC), the world’s largest hospitality technology event. Onity is part of UTC Building & Industrial Systems, a unit of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE: UTX).

Available in fall 2015, the new Trillium lock series features a sleeker design to complement modern hotel aesthetics and includes advanced security options. Trillium locks will be available in three primary versions: a standard mag stripe lock, RFID lock with MIFARE Plus® technology and RFID lock with DirectKey module on-board. MIFARE Plus technology provides an enhanced security protocol for RFID locks. Trillium locks provide an easy upgrade path for properties with Onity locks currently installed by using the existing footprint and door prep.

Trillium locks will integrate with OnPoint® Enterprise, Onity’s new front-desk solution. OnPoint Enterprise frees employees from behind the front desk and enables them to efficiently manage guest check-in and room operations from a tablet or mobile device.
